You start with a couple chickens and the next thing you know you’ve removed all the grass in your yard and replaced it with raised beds.
That’s what it has come to, folks. My wife and kids and I have worked for the past several years to convert our small plot into a working homestead that provides most of our nutritional needs.
On less than an acre, we care for chickens, rabbits, turkeys, pigs, goats and honeybees. We have also converted most of our yard into garden beds. Our goal is to create as much value as possible. We love teaching others and are on a path toward educating our community about the big potential found on a small plot of land.
